The only museum in Portugal dedicated to the accordion.
Francico Sabóia, is an excellent accordionist and the and owner of the majority of the exhibits. Until he could open the museum, he stored his treasures in a warehouse in Loulé. They have now come 'home' to this unique and fascinating museum.
Eugenia Lima and José Ferreiro very well known Algarvian accordionists have also been highlighted in this collection..
"Although more than 1500 pieces, all purchased by Francico Sabio, are housed in the collection many others had to be left out due to space restrictions. The idea is to keep renewing the museum assiduously. "This is my dream that has come to life today!"
